Welcome Cousins!

For years I've been thinking of how to start up a newsletter or blog for us chu family cousins to all keep in touch and be able to post news and updates. So here it is, a blog for the time being, until I get a better system set up. Feel free to post announcements, letting us know what you are up to, and keeping in touch. Look forward to hear from you all often.

Greetings

Hello Cousins,

As other wise cousins have said, this is a great idea! Sometimes I am so busy with my life that I forget what is important. It is always family.

I consider myself very fortunate to be included in the Chu family. I believe it is a great and proud family. We are very different, yet when we come together to meet, drink, and eat we are all same.

Speaking of different. My family and I are working and living in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. I know it sounds crazy to be living in the desert. It has some benefits. I am almost never cold. The buffet's are good. If I don't be careful, I am going to get fat.

Please let me know how the rest of you are doing.

Always,
Tony

A note from Yuan...

Yuan said...

Dear Family,

Great that Kaisin took the initiative and time to really use the Internet as family integrating platform and try to unite our disintegrated family network.
Today just like many of the hundreds of previous days… sitting at my home office in Hong Kong and taking care of “must do things”….

Sometimes I wonder how would it be if all our family members would live within walking distance to each other … anyway… time to start doing what we can and stop dreaming or “wonder” therefore. You think the Hakka Inn that is being jointly created by senior’s members of our family in our ancestor’s land should not be the end of a family story but a beginning of a family chapter? … Well I’m personally confused about it.. Perhaps the many countries that I have lived in have evolved me into some kind of borderless, landless. Nomadic.. Contemporary gipsy. Anyhow on the 1st Family reunion at the awaited Hakka Inn on the 24 of September 07 I plan to experience more about “ultimate integration” of soul with land. The last time I was there I really feel something never felt before.. In other word “Strong feeling from within” however I could escape from that feeling of integration from my natural roots and get on with my nomadic styled life… however really not sure about this second visit.

Take care you all

Love

Yuan
